Works with no signal

The door to door sales app that works offline.

Basements, rural routes, concrete stairwells and dead zones between towns. Turtle Sales keeps recording doors when the bars disappear, stores everything on the device, and uploads it automatically the moment the phone reconnects. No lost doors, no end of day re-entry, no rep guessing what already saved.

  • Records with zero bars

Door status, notes and GPS all captured on device.

  • Automatic sync

The queue uploads itself on reconnect. Nothing to press.

  • iOS and Android

Native apps, built for the field rather than the desk.

Why offline mode decides whether your data is real

An online only canvassing app does not fail loudly. It fails quietly, and the damage shows up in your numbers a week later.

When a rep taps a door in a dead zone and the app cannot reach the server, one of three things happens. The tap is silently dropped. The app freezes on a spinner until the rep gives up. Or the rep is told to try again later and moves on without recording it. Every one of those outcomes produces the same result: a door that was genuinely knocked never enters your system.

That gap is not evenly distributed either. It concentrates in exactly the areas where signal is worst, which in most markets means the rural and semi rural routes where door density is low and rep time is most expensive. So the territory that most needs accurate coverage data is the territory your reporting is least able to describe.

The knock on effects compound. Knock to sale conversion looks better than it is, because the denominator is missing doors. Territory coverage maps show holes that were actually worked. A rep who worked a hard rural day looks lazy next to a rep who worked a dense suburb with full LTE. Commission disputes start, because the sale synced and the twenty doors before it did not.

How the offline queue actually works

Local first by design. The phone is the source of truth until the server can catch up.

  • The tap writes locally first

Recording a door writes to on device storage immediately, so the interaction completes at the speed of the phone rather than the speed of the network. The rep sees the pin land and moves to the next house.

  • GPS is captured on device

The location fix comes from the phone hardware, not from a network lookup. A door recorded offline carries the same coordinates it would have carried online, so the map is accurate once it syncs.

  • The queue survives the app closing

Queued doors persist on the device. Closing the app, locking the phone or losing battery does not discard work that has not uploaded yet.

  • Sync happens on its own

When the connection returns, the queue uploads in the background and the doors appear on the manager dashboard and the live map. There is no manual export step and no button for a rep to forget.

What your team gets back

Offline capture is a data integrity feature before it is a convenience feature.

  • Coverage maps that reflect every door worked, including the ones with no signal
  • Knock to sale conversion calculated on a complete denominator
  • Commission math built on synced sales rather than end of day text messages
  • Reps who stop carrying a paper backup for the parts of the route they do not trust
  • Rural and low signal territory that is finally comparable with dense suburban territory
  • Managers who can tell a slow area from a slow rep

Everything else the app does in the field

Offline capture is one part of the platform your reps carry, not a separate product.

  • Colour coded door map

Every door recorded shows on an interactive map coloured by status: sale made, callback, no answer, not interested, do not knock.

  • Territory assignment

Draw territories and assign them to reps so two people never work the same street twice in one afternoon.

  • Live leaderboard

A real time board ranked by revenue closed, so the day has a scoreboard instead of a silence until 9pm.

  • Automatic commission tracking

Each rep carries a commission rate. Closed sales calculate their own payout, and pay period reports show the full breakdown.

  • Workday scheduling

Assign time windowed shifts with capacity controlled slots so the field plan and the roster agree.

  • AI sales coaching

An AI voice coach reviews a rep's pitch and returns feedback and improvement tasks between sessions.

Frequently asked questions

Does Turtle Sales work without internet?

Yes. Doors recorded in an area with no signal are stored on the device and upload automatically as soon as the phone reconnects, so nothing is lost in the field. The rep does not need to know whether they were online when they tapped.

Do GPS pins still record when the phone is offline?

Yes. The location fix is taken from the phone's own GPS hardware rather than a network lookup, so a door recorded offline lands on the map with the same coordinates it would have had online.

What happens if the app closes before the queue syncs?

Queued doors are written to persistent storage on the device, so closing the app or locking the phone does not discard them. They upload on the next connection.

Does the manager dashboard show offline doors differently?

Once synced they are ordinary doors. They appear on the live map, in the KPI totals and in the rep's activity exactly as if they had uploaded at the moment they were recorded.

Is offline mode included on the free plan?

The free plan gives a solo rep a personal sales map with a pin for every door. The full team platform, including live territory maps, scheduling, leaderboards and commission payouts, is on the Organization plan at one flat rate for up to 25 members with no per seat fees.

Which devices does the mobile app support?

Turtle Sales has native iOS and Android apps. Reps work from the mobile app in the field and managers work from the web dashboard.
